Built in 1882, the Historic Chaffee County Courthouse has stood at the heart of Buena Vista for more than 140 years. Today, Buena Vista Heritage is undertaking a multi-phase restoration to protect this landmark and address critical needs within the historic building.
For Phase II, BVH has been awarded a $250,000 State Historical Fund grant. To access those funds, we must raise $96,731 in matching funds, bringing the total Phase II investment to $346,731.
Your Colorado Gives donation will help us meet this critical match and turn local support into a much larger investment in the Courthouse. Funds raised beyond our immediate Phase II need will help prepare for Phase III and continue this important preservation work.
