Madams of Central Colorado Calendar

The madams are always looking for a way to make a dollar or two for Buena Vista Heritage! This time, the way they've found is all legal and everything!

They've created a calendar (Dec. 2009 - Dec. 2010) featuring photos of the ladies, many of them inside the incredible TearDrop House on West Main Street. The calendar features many of the county's historic dates. And wouldn't you know it -- 2010 falls on the same days, calendarwise, as 1886. And will again work every thirteen years!

The calendars are ready for purchase. They are now discounted - just $5.00 for a historic Photographic Folio. Thanks to photographer Sara Bower and Chaffee County Printing Center, this is a value-priced quality calendar, with room for writing important dates and still celebrating local history.

  2010 Calendar : $5.00

Depot Bricks for Sale

You can own a piece of local history! During the first phase of restoration on the Denver, Leadville and Gunnison Depot, the mason determined that the bricks from the original chimneys were not strong enough to retain for the future. So we have bricks to sell to railroad enthusiasts, history buffs and anyone else who'd like a piece of this cherished building for their own.

The price is just $19.95 each plus tax and shipping and handling. If you live locally, you can pick one up at the Heritage Museum and save yourself $14 in shipping and handling.
